Zing Robotics: Ground service autonomous vehicles
Founded in 2021 by Ray Ames, Dante Zeviar and Brent Shedd, Zing Robotics provides purpose-built electric, Level 4 autonomous vehicles, with applications in aviation, industry, military and delivery operations.
The startup’s initial focus is on the ground service equipment market, partnering with airlines and cargo carriers to reduce operating costs and improve safety by removing human operators on the tarmac. Their 100% electric vehicles help industries achieve sustainability goals while reducing operating costs, improving safety and increasing productivity and efficiency.
In terms of technology, the startups electric vehicle comes with a complete machine vision system with integrated surround-view ADAS sensors (Camera, Lidar, Radar, Sonar, IMU, GPS, IR). It includes a ruggedised and software-agnostic computation module with fail-safe architecture. The vehicle has a 4,500lb cargo capacity and 30in loading height and is currently patent pending.
